Gold string or thin ribbon for hanging

Add a touch of magic to your little one's bedroom - or your craft space with these pretty embroidered and beaded horses, all strung together by their golden harnesses. You can get creative with your embroidery techniques or follow Christine's delicate dala-inspired details. Visit www.gathered.how for more instructions and videos on creating the stitches if you're new to it.

01 Use the templates from page 85 to cut two body shapes per horse.

02 Begin by stitching a row of fly stitch down each leg. Start at the top of one leg with a small straight stitch then sew four fly stitches down the leg.

03 Repeat with the other leg. Between each fly stitch, sew a small straight stitch at the same angle as the fly in a contrasting colour.
