Yoga has a rich history, and a philosophy that when practiced on and off the yoga mat becomes a lifestyle as yoga practitioners journey to the Self and connect within. On December 4, 2014 the United Nations proclaimed June 21, International Yoga Day. Since the first celebration yoga enthusiasts from all over the world have been coming together to celebrate the practice and bring more awareness to the many benefits of yoga.

How often and for how long should I do an asana?

There are no rules for how long you should do asana. Asana, or postures move energy through your body, keep your joints healthy, stretch and strengthen your muscles and so much more! These are all great effects of asana that we can benefit from daily.

How much air do you roughly breathe every day?

You take in about 11,000 liters a day.

You breathe about 20,000 breaths per day.
