As the year draws to a close, it is wonderful to do some deep self-introspection and reflect on what have been the highs and lows of life.
In order to have a better new life ahead, we always need to take stock of how well we have fared in order to improve and have more breakthroughs in life.
Life is a journey so there is so much to learn to have a better life as the world and technology are changing at such a rapid pace which inevitably affects us. Just as mobile phones and the internet have changed our lives, the changes taking place in artificial intelligence will affect us greatly. The key is to be abreast with developments through continual learning, adaptation and change. There are seven main areas to consider in improving our lives.
1 OUR BODY
AS WE AGE, OUR BODIES CHANGE TO REFLECT HOW WE HAVE BEEN EATING AND HOW WE HAVE BEEN EXERCISING TO REVEAL A STRONG ROBUST BODY OR OTHERWISE.
Time has a way of catching up to reveal what we may take for granted on a daily basis of what we do to our bodies. Hence, we need a change in mindset where desired future outcomes drive our daily decisions such as, eating healthy nutritious food daily. We cannot be governed by taste and poor food habits but by nutritional content in food instead. One does not shrink overnight but over the years where lack of optimal minerals intake lead to poor bone health. Now is the time to change our lack of physical activity to prevent further muscle loss and to tone up to have the body we want.
It is inevitable with ageing; our skin and hair texture changes. It may be time to relook at our personal grooming habits and skincare regime to improve our skin and hair.
“INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS.”
This is time to change your personal care products to something better as there have been great breakthroughs in science offering cell-signaling technologies in skincare. Full spectrum optimal nutrition is critical to maintain health of our skin, hair and well-being.
We are what we consume of nutrients from food and supplements. We cannot expect peak well-being and health when we lack nutrients to repair our cells and prevent oxidative damage. We are what we eat daily which will reveal the results eventually. The common problem is we often wait until there is a health crisis before we change our nutritional habits. When the body lacks suboptimal nutrition, there are often no immediate signs but the long term consequence is oxidative damage that shows itself in the form of degenerative diseases.
2 OUR SOUL
OUR SOULS NEED CONTINUAL DETOXING FROM TOXIC PEOPLE AND CIRCUMSTANCES. WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO AVOID SAD AND BAD INCIDENTS THAT HAPPEN BUT WE CAN DETERMINE OUR RESPONSES TO THEM.
We can detox our souls by letting go of those unpleasant memories and grow stronger and more compassionate. When life throws us rotten tomatoes, we can make compost out of them and grow.
We all need bucket lists to inspire us to fulfil those exciting plans and experiences in life.
If we never have great expectations, life will always be mundane. It is like how I had on my bucket list to see the amazing natural northern lights phenomena. Without even planning for it, the door has swung open for me to go to Norway for a dream adventure this November. We need to keep dreaming of the exciting places and experiences that we want to enjoy. Like children who are always looking forward to new toys and experiences, this is a way to stay young in our soul and brain.
