Following a low-carb lifestyle doesn’t just mean watching what we eat – it’s easy to consume unhealthy carbs in drinks too! But that doesn’t mean you’re limited to water. Here are some refreshing beverages you can enjoy – guilt free!

SUPER GREEN SMOOTHIE

KEEP ON TRACK per serving

SERVES 4

This smoothie will boost your energy levels and strengthen your immune system. It’s packed with fibre, vitamin B and magnesium. Thin the smoothie out with water if it’s too thick to pour.

  • 1 avocado small handful baby spinach leaves
  • ¼ green apple
  • ½ English cucumber
  • ½ small celery stick zest and juice of
  • 1 lime small handful mint small handful basil
  • 125ml full fat plain yoghurt
  • 250ml milk or nut milk handful ice

1. Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and process until very smooth. Serve immediately.

LOW-CARB FRAPPUCCINO

SERVES 4

KEEP ON TRACK per serving

FAT 13G PROTEIN 1G CARBS 2G

  • 125ml strong espresso coffee, slightly cooled
  • 30ml coconut oil, melted in the warm coffee
  • 250ml almond milk
  • 125ml cream handful ice erythritol, to taste (optional)
  • 125ml almond milk, at room temperature, to serve

1. Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. Sweeten if needed. Pour into 4 glasses.

2. Pour the almond milk into a French press and move the press up and down to create a thick foam. Pour the foam onto each frappuccino and serve.

TOMATO AND CUCUMBER JUICE

SERVES 6

By using a food processor instead of a juicer, you retain all the fibre in vegetables, which aids in digestion, fills you up faster and keeps you satisfied for longer. It also helps with weight loss.

KEEP ON TRACK per serving

FAT 0.3G PROTEIN 3GCARBS 9G

  • 800g ripe tomatoes, quartered
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 1 green chilli (optional)
  • pinch of salt
  • big handful basil leaves
  • handful ice
  • 500ml sparkling water

TO SERVE

4 snacking cucumbers, cut into ribbons with a vegetable peeler

12 cocktail tomatoes, halved basil leaves
