Get to Know Mareya

You’re a published author. Tell us about your books.

My first is The Clean Eating Handbook: 31 Essential Rules for Health, Wellness and a Fabulously Fit Life. People were killing themselves in the gym to work off the crap they’d eaten. But you can’t out-train a bad diet! I wanted to show people how fitness could be achieved through food habits. My second book, Eat Like You Give a Fork: The Real Dish on Eating to Thrive, is a call to action. We need to have thought and intention when picking and eating foods. When we do that, we can help alleviate stressors and side effects of many diseases and chronic disorders.

You’ve been in the industry for over two decades. How did you get started?
