From working as a service man to serving Defense services through your companies, how did your journey begin? What are the rough tides that you had to cross to achieve this?
Though I am an Ex-service man, since I had kept myself in touch with technology and manufacturing issues, it was a smooth changeover from Army (22 years’ service) to BEL about 35 years back. Since BEL and now in ADTL, primary equipment were for Defence Forces, it was very interesting educative and challenging task to undertake.
When was Alpha Design Technologies set up? How did you achieve Alpha`s phase shift from a start-up to a multi-crore firm it is now?
Alpha Design Technologies was setup in 2004. The phase shift occurred gradually keeping pace with increase in marketing demands from Rs 25000.00 in 2004 to Rs. 500 Cr this year!
What are the sectors that you are currently into? What are the products and services that Alpha is currently dealing with?
The Company mainly concentrates on DRDO, manufacture and supply of Defence and Aerospace equipment and systems for Army / AF / Navy / Para Military Forces / Exports.
Could you give us an insight into your Joint Venture collaborations with foreign firms? How are these JVs helping in strengthening Indian defense forces?
