Ritika Jayaswal, CEO & Founder Nourish Mantra tells us about the trends in the beauty industry and how with the pandemic they branched out and saw new opportunities. They believe in long-term wellness and long lasting results. She also talks about the change in customer’s behaviour and changes in the industry that came along due to the pandemic.
Last year was hard for many, how was it for you?
We had launched the brand in India in early January 2020. We had plans to launch the brand on various channel partners like Nykaa , Amazon etc but it got pushed to June. Once we hit June, we were live on these ecommerce platforms and even launched products which were the need of the hour like our Vetiver and Lavender Upayas Hand Wash and Hand Lotion in July.
How did it affect your industry?
Our industry coped up with the pandemic with a lot of grace. There are different categories in our industry. Categories like makeup and fragrance were affected differently as people were not stepping out but skincare and hair care went up because people started indulging selfcare.
