A distinguished alumnus of Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Dr Apoorva Rana Sethi is a Post-graduate in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (2019).

She is a certified BLS provider accredited by American Heart Association and has also attended the Exchange Programme at Showa University, School of Dentistry, Tokyo.

Take us through your initial days in the shoes of an Endodontist? Is this something that you always wanted to do?

As a conservative dentist and Endodontist, the quality that is of utmost importance is patience. In my initial days as a student pursuing Endodontics, I learnt the art of patience.

While working on a very small tooth in a patient’s mouth with small instruments and low visibility, it is imperative to be patient and rely on your knowledge of the tooth’s anatomy and tactile sensation while working. During my internship at Dr Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences, Sector- 25, Chandigarh, I discovered my love for Endodontic procedures and I knew then and there that Endodontics is my calling. There is nothing better than knowing that you relieved the patient’s pain.

How do you define your role at Pooran Dental & Cosmetic Clinic? What are the various services & treatments that you have in store to offer?

Pooran Dental & Cosmetic Clinic is not just a normal clinic. We try to provide a holistic approach to health by counselling the patients regarding the importance of oral health and its impact on the overall health of a patient.

We also hold dental camps at various ashrams, MNCs and schools to spread awareness regarding the importance of diet, maintenance of oral hygiene and importance of regular dental checkups.
