Four years ago, Kansas City, Missouri resident Wesley (Wes) Hamilton, now 28, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and spent three weeks in the intensive care unit.
He woke up paralyzed with a spinal cord injury. With a two year old daughter, Hamilton had to find a new way of life in a wheelchair. When Hamilton became paralyzed, he weighed 230 pounds and struggled to move his chair. Now he has a renewed passion for health and fitness as well as helping others find their way by implementing programs that will help people with SCI and other disabilities live a more healthy and active life through his non profit Disabled But Not Really.
