VEENA SHARMA

A resident of Sector 11 Panchkula talks about her story of positivity and well-being during the time of pandemic

Homemakers are unsung heroes of every home. To be a homemaker is a very difficult choice and when it gets combined with the covid stress, it becomes more difficult. When asked about managing responsibilities during Covid times Veena shared, “It really got tough when my husband tested positive for Covid, something as simple as handling hospital bills, and documents got me all worked up. With no household help and taking care of the entire family and hospital duties so that everything runs smoothly, it kept me on my toes all the time.” And one can imagine the roles women have to juggle in between to strike the perfect balance; the balance between being a full time mother, daughter-in-law and a wife. To maintain every role successfully, Veena shares her secret of success, “You cannot pour from an empty cup, you need to fill your own cup before you fill others”. For being a full time doting mother, daughter-in-law and wife, it is very important to strike a balance with yourself first, before carrying out everyone else's responsibility.

ANJNA BHARDWAJ
