It's raining heavily outside. I draw the curtains and head to the kitchen to make myself a hot cup of coffee. Rain always reminds me of a moment in time I was forced to admit that I needed inner healing. As I wait for the coffee to brew, my mind travels back three years prior.
I arrived home in a weather much like this one. Heavy downpour with no end in sight. I had forgotten my umbrella in my cubicle at work and from where the company vehicle had dropped me there was no shelter so the only option was to brave the rain and walk the remaining distance to my house.
