LIVING IT UP RUHI SINGH
TMM|June 2021
Dreams don’t work unless you take action. The surest way to make your dreams come true is to live them. And that is what Ruhi Singh did, after winning the title of Femina Miss India, which helped her further bring glory home in form of Miss India Universal Peace and Humanity and then her first breakthrough in the world of cinema happened with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Calendar Girls, and rest, as they say, is history. In a conversation with TMM, she talks about her recent release Runaway Lugai, success in the world of glamour and what inspires her in life.

Your recent project ‘Runaway Lugai’ is gaining a lot of fame and appreciation from audiences. How does it feel and what’s next for you?

I’m grateful to my fans for welcoming ‘Runaway Lugai’ with so much love. The series is an MX Player comedy-drama directed by Avinash Das (who also directed Netflix’s ‘She’) and I’m glad the show has been received so well! People from all across India are messaging me because they loved my character, Bulbul, who is ambitious, confident, and bold. Since my role is also comically inclined, everybody is pleasantly surprised that I could play such a different character. There has been a lot of love and appreciation, ‘Runaway Lugai’ is topping the streaming charts and it feels amazing! Next up for me… I’m going to begin filming for a web series, a movie, and a very different project super soon. I’m excited!
