22 Ways to Keep the Faith in 2022

Set goals

Set a variety of short (weekly), medium (quarterly), and longer-term (yearly) goals, which will give you a sense of purpose and also make your brain active and activate the reticular activating system, a network of neurons located in the brain stem that mediate behaviour and programme new patterns.

Give yourself a hand

Pen down the changes you wish for and then ask yourself the five things that are critical in helping you achieve it. Write these points and shade in how close you are to achieving each goal.

Don’t change alone

This year, don’t change alone, make a commitment to change with a partner, mentor, sponsor or group. This can motivate others to bring in strength and the canvas of change will look bigger and brighter.

Have that one action

Write down the one action that, when completed, will make you feel like your day was productive and start your day with it. Do it every day and at the end of year you will have a bigger sense of achievement.

Reward yourself

Each time you reach a goal, reward yourself. It hits you right and makes you crave for more.

Go one-nil up early

Exercising before the working day begins ensures you feel one-nil up against your old self and that change will supercharge your day.
