How would you define Kainaat Arora in one line?
Perfectly imperfect.
One adjective that describes you the best in one word.
Perfectionist or a Cleanliness freak.
How was your childhood?
I was a sports person. I was too much into my studies but at the same time I was a naughty child. I would not talk to a lot of people in school but at the same time was in the top 10 and number 1 in sports. I was balancing my sports and my studies and doing well in both. I used to play basketball, badminton, throwball and participated in all of the extra curriculum activities. So in short, you can say I was a very active child who couldn’t sit in one corner and wanted to do everything in life. I wanted to be busy all the time.
What was your family’s reaction when you said that you would like to become an actress?
I started getting modelling offers while I was doing a course from NIFT, from here my modelling career commenced. I was crossing the road outside my college and one photographer stopped me thinking I am a Kashimiri but I am a Punjabi and he offered me a Satya Paul’s advertisement for Kashmiri jackets and that’s how I got my first break. My family was in a huge shock when I told them I wanted to be a model but with time I convinced them. They wanted me to come back and not pursue modelling and at that time I was doing merchandising studies in Delhi. But I wanted to do modelling because I got a break without really trying hard.
After your first break and your shoot how proud was your family, what was their reaction seeing you in campaigns?
