So it’s no wonder Chanel chose it to be the setting of a new N°5 campaign, with a muse almost as iconic as the fragrance itself: Marion Cotillard. “Returning to a French actress meant returning to a subconscious image of French femininity dear to the spirit of the house,” says Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Chanel’s head of global creative resources.
