CHOPARD

Tapping further into the ever-growing luxury market in the Middle East, Chopard has recently come by a premium shopping spot at Saudi Arabia’s Al Basateen Mall. The 172 m2 boutique, established in partnership with local retailer Attar United, marks the Swiss brand’s first in Jeddah. Putting its best foot forward, the jeweller aptly brought in frequent collaborator Thierry W. Despont to impart his genius to the space.

The French architect, as they say, understood the assignment as he conjured up a picture of a private home with well-defined areas accommodating jewellery pieces, watches and the like. Bringing the idea to life, he opted to preserve the plush, comfortable charm of the boutique while modernising the design, and put an emphasis on quality materials, fixing up the space with light-toned wood, opulent leather, silk and precious velvet.
