Throughout Maria Grazia Chiuri’s tenure at Dior, the Italian designer has placed a distinct emphasis on highlighting the beauty and complexity of femininity. Chiuri’s slinky designs, wearable ready-to-wear, and utilitarian accessories have revitalised the house over the past few seasons, creating a new style lexicon in the famed legacy of Dior. Though the Cruise 2022 show took place in Athens Greece, this is not Chiuri or Dior’s first voyage to the sunny island. Christian Dior was a frequent traveller and would present his shows in faroffplaces—a romantic and boundary-breaking DNA Chiuri tapped into for this collection.
