Despite all the talk, stigma and much ado about online dating, I am not sure why it is such a huge fuss. In fact to me it is a rather practical way of dating. You don’t have to speak with everyone
You can gather some information on their work and education before you meet. You can take feedback from your friends even before you meet them. Sounds a little over the top? I would rather conserve my time and energy then try to meet someone at a bar and guess if they are married/ complicated etc. I would rather talk to someone before; get an idea before I proceed with an actual drink date. Of course the bunch of married men online is insane (must be women as well, I have not looked). It is almost important to stalk someone online before you meet them (I don't do it but my friends do it for me)
Of course, everyone is aware of the tediousness attached with the online conversations! Most conversations are like this: ( I keep some saved answers on my phone actually my phone started saving the sentence after a few times)
Here is what the conversation looks like mostly
Boy: Hey! How are you today? Girl: I am well, how about you? Boy: I am good too! Good to connect with you, nice pictures btw. You are really beautiful. How are you still single?
Girl: I guess I have not met the right guy yet. Thanks.
Boy: So what do you do?
Girl: I am a designer by profession, how about you?
Boy: I am an accountant/ banker/etc. btw where do you stay? Let us switch to whatsapp
