Every morning as we sit reading the morning newspapers, we feel hurt, sad, disillusioned and pained. All we get to read are news reports which claim the police have nabbed some criminals for attacking some forest officials. Somewhere a SGPC preacher is held for raping a 21 year old girl at a hostel where his wife was the warden. In another instance the sand mafia is reported to be having a free run in the state. In another bit of news a drunken man kills his sister after smashing a beer bottle on her head over a small scuffle between the two. Not to forget in Gurgeon a woman shoots at an auto driver for not giving way. Somewhere another whale is found dead with tones of plastic choking her to death. Every day we see visuals of how mankind has ruined our mother nature and contributed to water, air and land pollution. Day after day, the newspapers are crammed with news of rapes, violence, natural disasters, instances of road rage, global epidemics, terrorism, bloodshed, accidents and growing cases of depression and suicides. By and large the world is heading towards self destruction. In the mad race for existing according to the so called social standards set by the society and in the quest to be a people pleaser and be popular amongst ones friends and family, we are turning into mechanical beings who work and run according to the standards set by others. In our quest for proving ourselves to this synthetic world we have lost touch with our inner selves and souls and that in turn is driving us towards a complete break-down of our bodies and minds at a stage when all seems lost and we then end up harming ourselves and the people around us.
