‘Freedom Cannot Be Achieved Unless The Women Have Been Emancipated From All Forms Of Oppression.'Nelson Mandela.
Glimpse|August 2018

On the eve of Independence Day, let us keep all our differences aside and fight against those issues that don’t make our women independent. Take inspiration from these revolutionary women who can take their own decision, even when it comes to their self-styling and profession.

A mix of elegance and style, the gorgeous girl has made wonders in the Punjabi industry with her astounding skills. Call it her strong determination or svelte body oozing oodles of oomph; she has a magical effect on the audience.

‘You’ as a person?

A middle class introvert girl, who does whatever, makes her and her family happy.

Your family bonds?

I love them the most and they love me even more.

How much does your family supports you in wearing whatever you like?

Offcourse! They never had a problem.

Share your professional journey and talk about the challenges you faced?

My parents never wanted me to go in acting and you will be surprised to know that I too never wanted to be a part of it. But as we know our destiny often meets us on the road no matter how much we try to avoid it, and same happened with me. My father was super angry when my first music video got released but today he is proud of whatever I do.

Do Indian women really have independence to wear clothes of their choice?

Yes! It all starts from your family and in my family all the ladies wear whatever they feel like.

What is your reaction when you see a girl on the street wearing short clothes?

No reaction. Though I feel it depends upon the place too. However people may deny this but it’s a fact. The reaction comes itself when the clothes are inappropriate to the place.

How often does your family stop you from wearing short clothes in front of servants or other family members?

They have never stopped me but I myself wear the clothes I find the best according to the place, people and occasion.

Your take on feminism?
