THE GIRL WITH THE BRIGHT SMILE
Sara Gurpal has been ruling our hearts since her first step into stardom. Whether it was the winning moment of being crowned as “Miss Chandigarh”, her first song or her latest interview; her wit, intelligence and innate sensuality has been hard to miss.
Sara is magnanimous by nature, big time animal lover and totally down to earth. This lady love has been doing so much for the society secretively. During an interview with Glimpse Magazine, Sara touched on various topics, from feminism to animal rights to Pollywood. She also shared her views on festivity. And like always, her answers left us inspired, and impressed.
Please share something about yourself and your professional journey?
I was born in Haryana but my family shifted to Chandigarh long time back so I did my schooling and college from Chandigarh itself. I moved to United States of America for higher studies. I am Bsc in Fashion Technology from NIFT, Mohali, so while I was in my college one of my friend who is a photographer clicked my picture generally, I guess he was showing me and my friends the lighting effect. He suggested me to opt for modelling as my pictures came out pretty good. In the year 2012, I appeared in ‘Miss Chandigarh’ and luckily I won it. They recommended me to go for Femina Miss India but I wasn’t eligible due to my height as I am 5’4.5 inches, but I retried and went for Miss India. I was in top 15, and also achieved the title of ‘Miss Personality’. After coming back I did music videos, all I know is that with the grace of God everything went very smooth. So my first video was Ranjit Bawa’s video song and on that time it was a craze, I wanted to do more and more videos. So I am here and I was in the jury of Femina miss India (Punjab 2018).
