Dr. Deepika Krishna, is a fashion enthusiast has made her mark in both worlds including medical achievements and trendy mode fashion. Well educated from Pune with a medical degree, Dr. Deepika Krishna is involved in the fierce battle against cancer.
She is a Director at Dr. Krishna’s Cancer Healer Center Pvt Ltd and a Founder of Celebrate life. A vogue fanatic at heart, she brings herself to the social circle with her versatility of style statements.
What prompted you to be an entrepreneur?
I’ve been treating Gynaecological cancers for years now. After marriage, I was profoundly interested in contributing more to cancer patients and their lives.
I have also initiated awareness campaigns such as the Fashion Show by Power Women and Cancer survivors and also the ‘I am the Power’ awards function that took place this year. I believe these events can certainly spread the main message of cancer being curable and preventable. My maiden event was the talk of the town and was very well supported by most of her Bollywood friends from Mumbai.
How do you handle the fierce competition?
I compete with myself in what I do and this is only so that I excel in doing the best I can for society. As a matter of fact, competition is not what I look for in my work. I believe that each one has their own battles to fight but if we can fight together some of the main causes that bring us down, we certainly can progress.
