In the deadliest attack ever on our security forces in one of the most militarized zones in the world, more than 40 CRPF personnel were martyred and several others were injured when a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100-150 kg of explosives into a CRPF convoy of 80 vehicles carrying more than 2500 CRPF personnel in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
After India lit the funeral pyres of its valiant jawans who were martyred in the recent terror attack, it is still grieving and grappling to come to terms with the fact that we as a nation have failed to curb Pakistan sponsored terrorism even after 3 decades of having suffered irreplaceable loss of life and peace not only in Jammu & Kashmir but also in the whole of India. When terror raises its ugly head it is not only our brave hearts who fight for the country at the borders or their families who get affected but the whole nation suffers a massive set-back when it comes its peace and security.
The use of a Kashmiri youth in the Pulwama attack and the release of a pre-recorded video of the terrorist is being considered an attempt by Pakistan to reassert its right over Kashmir. With this terror attack Pakistan has once again proved that it fails to accept the status quo when it comes to the Kashmir dispute. Pakistan is beyond doubt exploiting the weakness of India’s Kashmir policy to the hilt and these kinds of terror plots will keep raising their ugly heads till the time, our government once and for all firmly puts the Kashmir imbroglio to rest. The security agencies have now been given a free hand to curb the terrorists and terrorism in Kashmir but why did it take the government to lose so many precious lives before taking this stand? When it was very well aware that South Kashmir is turning a breeding ground for terrorists who are always on the lookout for the Indian forces to put their guard down before they can strike again. Militant outfits funded by Pakistan are always meticulously planning and preparing to execute their evil plans but the fact that our security forces give them the upper hand to execute it by letting their guards down by leaving silly loopholes open for the terrorists to take advantage of and because of our intelligence failure is a fact difficult to digest.
