Let's talk Stomachaches, shall we?

It's not a topic that any of us typically talk about in our day-to-day convos, but let's face facts: We've all struggled with dreaded digestive issues at one time or another. And whether it's bloating or bellyaches, nothing busts your so-good summer vibe quite like an upset stomach.

If you're experiencing frequent abdominal problems, you're not alone. Many girls struggle with digestive difficulties-with 15% reporting that their tummy troubles are intense enough to keep them from enjoying time with friends and family. “It seems like every time I hang out with my besties, I have to leave early because my stomach hurts, shares Savannah C., 17. It's frustrating, and I don't know what the issue is.

Turns out stomach complications can have a whole host of causes, from physical to psychological. And while an occasional bout of nausea after downing a mega milkshake is probably nothing to worry about, recurring episodes of cramping or constipation might be a sign something more is going on.

With the help of the experts, we're getting to the sources of your stomach problems and sharing exactly what to do when your gut is feeling, well, not so great.

TUMMY TERROR

HORMONES

As if your period wasn't annoying enough on its own, you're dealing with diarrhea and gas at that time of the month. Tbh, all that crampiness makes you feel like you need a permanent heating pad.
