Does Your Crush Actually Like Someone Else?
Girls' Life magazine|April/May 2020
All right, it’s time to face the facts: you have a crush. You get that nervous feeling every time you’re around the person, you can’t figure out what to say and when to say it and your cheeks go pink when you’re in the same room. Now the question is whether they like you back—or could they be crushing on someone else (gah). Decoding that can be super tricky, so we’re here to help.
Emma Bakker

1. OK, first things first, do they respond to your Snapchats and texts?

A. Yes! All the time. We talk outside of school on a pretty regular basis. Maybe not every day, but close.

B. I’d say they respond half the time. When I text them, I’m not sure whether they’ll respond or not. It’s kind of frustrating for me because I never know what to expect.

C. TBH, only sometimes. I don't think they are ignoring me on purpose, but it still stings.

2. Do you follow each other on social media?

A. Yes! All the platforms. We’re social media BFFs, and we interact with each other. They like all my pictures.

B. I follow them on everything, they follow me back on some. We’ve DM'd a bit but not all the time. It feels comfy and low pressure.

C. No, I’m too afraid to follow them. What if they don’t follow me back? That would be so embarrassing.

3. Now for the really tough questions. How do they interact with other girls when you’re around?

A. They usually focus their attention on me. We have so much fun talking and laughing, the world kinda fades out.

B. They talk to me, but also spend a lot of time talking to our other female friends. We're part of a big group, so it's hard to tell.

C. There’s one girl they're chatting with all the time. People say they aren't together, but it seems like they're a couple.

4. And how do they interact with other girls when you’re not around? Can you tell?
