BEWARE THE CONTROLLING CUTIE

There’s a big difference between nice and needy. Someone who’s truly smitten will support your space. Take it from Madison S., 14: “Josh would walk me to class; carry my bag. It was sweet, but it got weird. Soon, he wouldn’t give me back my books until I kissed him. And he’d freak if I said hi to a guy in the hall. I now know that some of those ‘nice guys’ who want to be close all the time are actually trying to exert control over you.”
