10 QUESTIONS WITH … OON SHU AN

THERE is LITTLE THAT the BUBBLY SINGAPORE STAGE AND TV ACTRESS IS AFRAID to TRY WHEN IT COMES to BEAUTY — AFTER ALL, SHE’S ALSO THE HOST of WEB SERIES TRIED & TESTED — AND A BEAUTY GIFT THAT KEEPS GIVING

10 QUESTIONS WITH … OON SHU AN

MY MOODBOARD RIGHT NOW SHOWS… lots of films from young filmmakers, as I’ve just hosted the National Youth Film Awards for *SCAPE. There’s so much talent and the energy is invigorating.

CELEBRATING SINGAPORE BEAUTY MEANS… remembering all the capable, loving, and kind women who radiate beauty. I think of my mum, who will always be a big role model to me.

WHEN I THINK OF #SUPPORTLOCAL… I feel a sense of pride. We are such a tiny country, and in many ways we punch above our weight. Supporting local in all ways means seeing the value in what we offer.

THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS THING I’VE DONE IN THE NAME OF BEAUTY… was to try toothpaste, Tiger Balm (an analgesic balm), then pimple cream on my first cystic pimple. It wouldn’t go away, and I got desperate as I had a shoot coming up.

A TRIED-AND-TESTED BEAUTY TIP THAT NEVER FAILED IS… perfume. Smelling good makes me feel fantastic; my favourites so far are Paris-Biarritz Les Eau De Chanel, and the Gucci Ode On Melancholy perfumed oil.
