A two-year engagement, cheating scandals and couple’s counselling – is the fairytale over for J Lo and A-Rod?

HE PROPOSED with a diamond sparkler worth a staggering R73 million. When she turned 50, he presented her with a R1,9m Porsche. Together they bought a mansion in Miami worth nearly R600m where they lived with their blended family.

Jennifer Lopez may once have sung Love Don’t Cost a Thing but the life she and Alex Rodriguez built for themselves was a dazzling wonderland where they glowed ever brighter.

Yet over the months faultlines have started to appear in their relationship – and many are wondering if J Lo and A-Rod will ever get around to tying the knot. The couple have already been forced to postpone their wedding twice because of Covid-19. Now they’re being dogged by drama and rumours of infidelity.

First it was reported that J Lo (51) and A-Rod (45) had broken up and that it had been “a long time coming”.

Jennifer, friends said, was “so embarrassed” about the way A-Rod had been behaving she’d called off the wedding for good.

Then the couple put on a united front, saying they were still together but acknowledging they were going through a rough patch.

“The reports are inaccurate,” they said in a statement. “We are working through some things.”

Whether one of those things involves a certain reality TV star named Madison LeCroy remains to be seen.

Speculation arose that there was something between her and A-Rod after Madison, star of Southern Charm, revealed during the show’s reunion show that she was FaceTiming “a very famous ex-MLB player”.
