CHEESECAKE CARAMEL BROWNIES
MAKES 20 LARGE BROWNIES
PREPARATION & BAKING: 120 MIN
BROWNIES
- 185g butter
- 120g dark chocolate
- 5ml (lt) instant coffee powder
- 3 eggs
- 180g (225ml) dark brown sugar
- 100g (190ml) cake flour
- 40g (100ml) cocoa powder, plus extra for dusting
- 5ml (lt) baking powder
- 2,5ml (V2t) salt
- 120g dark chocolate chips tossed in 5ml (lt) cake flour
- 1 can (360g) Caramel Treat
- 100g (160ml) toasted, chopped hazelnuts, lightly salted (optional)
TOPPING
- 300g cream cheese
- 80g (95ml) castor sugar
- 2 eggs
- 5ml (lt) vanilla essence or vanilla seeds from 1 pod
- 15ml (1T) cake flour
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and line a 21cm x 29cm baking sheet with baking paper.
1. Brownies Place the butter, dark chocolate, and coffee in a saucepan on low heat, stirring until melted. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
