The residents of Weather field have been providing us with drama for six decades now, and as Coronation Street celebrates its 60th birthday this week, two documentaries look back at the soap’s story so far.
Queens of the Street focuses on the iconic women, from Elsie Tanner and Bet Lynch to Carla Connor, who have been at the heart of Corrie since the beginning. Creator Tony Warren drew inspiration from his mother and aunts for the women of Weatherfield.
