THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE

NEW MONDAY, 9PM, SKY ATLANTIC DRAMA

Prepare to be swept away by an extraordinary romance that spans decades as new Sky Atlantic drama The Time Traveler's Wife charts the story of a woman who can spend years waiting for the love of her life to return to her.

Based on the bestselling 2003 novel of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger and adapted for the small screen by former Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat, the six-parter centres on artist Clare (Vigil star Rose Leslie), whose life is turned upside down when she falls for Henry (Sanditon's Theo James), a dashing librarian born with a paranormal genetic disorder that causes him to time travel unpredictably.

Leaving just a pile of clothes behind when he disappears into thin air, Henry can be gone for days, weeks and even months, leaving Clare wondering where and when she will see her soulmate again.

Here, in an exclusive interview, Rose, 35, and Theo, 37, tell TV Times why this story is set to have viewers gripped...

What stood out to you about this story?

THEO It's a love story with a very finite nature to it, and that really appealed. It's a comedic tragedy, and, because of Henry's condition, their relationship is tinged with the possibility of everything ending very quickly. They're always being ripped apart, which is such an interesting concept.
