EUROVISION FINAL

SATURDAY, 8PM, BBC1 ENTERTAINMENT

Dust off the flag bunting and get your scorecards ready as this Saturday sees the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Following Italian rock group Måneskin's victory in Rotterdam last year, we're heading to Turin as 25 countries - comprising the so-called 'Big Five' of France, Germany, Spain, the UK and host nation Italy, plus 10 qualifying acts from each of the two semi-finals (which take place on Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 May) - compete to win the 66th edition of the competition.

Representing the UK is TikTok star Sam Ryder, who has emerged as one of the pre-contest favourites with his song Space Man. Can he reverse our fortunes after James Newman walked away with 'nul points' for his song Embers in 2021?

Meanwhile, as usual, Graham Norton will be providing wry observations on all the acts from his commentary box.

Here, Graham, 59, gives us his take on proceedings...

Why is Eurovision so special to you?

I've always loved the Eurovision Song Contest, but somehow over the last few years, it has become even more special.
