Supportive: Davina helps Niki with her search
LONG LOST FAMILY: BORN WITHOUT TRACE
NEW MONDAY-WEDNESDAY, 9PM, ITV FACTUAL
On an April morning in 1987, Niki Weedon was discovered as a newborn on a London housing estate and taken to a police station.
Adopted into a loving family, Niki grew up often questioning where she came from. Now, her search for answers features in the final episode of a new three-part run of ITV'S Long Lost Family: Born without Trace, the BAFTA-winning spinoff series hosted by Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell.
Here, Niki, 35, a learning support assistant who's married with two children, shares her story with TV Times...
Why did you apply?
My daughter, Paige, was asking, "Mum, I know Dad's white, but what's the other half of me?' And it was really hard because I couldn't give her the answers that she wanted. One night, Long Lost Family was on, and I applied. I did it for Paige, and also for me, because I've always wondered, 'Who am I?'
