THE TOMORROW WAR

Available: Friday 2 July Run time: 140 mins NEW SCI-FI

The future of mankind on Earth is under threat from a deadly race of aliens in Amazon Prime Video’s new sci-fi epic The Tomorrow War – and humanity’s last hope lies with ordinary citizens from the present day.

Former soldier turned high school science teacher Dan Forester – played by Parks and Recreation and Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt – is watching an international football tournament with his daughter when the game is interrupted by a swirling portal that appears in the middle of the pitch.

Soldiers from 2051 emerge to deliver the message that their world is being attacked by aliens known as ‘white spikes’, and humans are rapidly losing the fight.

Governments across the world agree to send their best soldiers through time to the future to help, but with many of them perishing before they can return, soon civilians are drafted in, too.

Each of them is required to carry out a week-long tour of duty, and they’ll only return to the present day if they’re still alive at the end of it.

TV Times caught up with Hollywood star Chris, 42, to find out more about the film…
