At TV Times we can’t get enough of game shows, so the news that the makers of The Chase have come up with a new one has left us feeling like we’ve hit the jackpot!
Comedian and actor Omid Djalili hosts the new daily show Winning Combination, where, at the end, individual players must work together to unlock a cash prize.
Nine contestants are assigned a number between one and nine and compete in general-knowledge rounds, with four of them making it through to the final round.
There, the players must work as a team in order to scoop a four-digit ‘combination’ jackpot defined by their numbers, meaning that the prize money could be as high as £9,876 or as low as £1,234.
Here, Omid, 55 – who’s also taken acting roles in Stan Lee’s Lucky Man and His Dark Materials – tells TV Times why he doesn’t think he’ll be stealing away Bradley Walsh’s quiz-show host crown any time soon..
