KILLING EVE
SUN / BBC1 / 9.15PM / EP 1 of 8 / & FROM MON 20 APRIL / BBC iPLAYER / EP 2 of 8 / DRAMA
Since making her small-screen debut as a twentysomething in ITV’s acclaimed Sherlock Holmes series in 1984, Fiona Shaw has gone on to build an enviable CV of TV, film and stage credits.
Recent highlights include the Harry Potter film franchise and comedy Fleabag, but, arguably, it’s her fan-favourite role as MI6 boss Carolyn Martens in BBC’s global hit thriller Killing Eve that has made her a household name.
Centred on the cat-and-mouse game between ruthless assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) and former MI6 agent Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), the show has never been afraid to shock viewers.
And when the first episode of series three landed on BBC iPlayer on 13 April, it ended with Eve witnessing a tragic incident.
