CELEBRITY BEST HOME COOK NEW TUE & WED / BBC1 / 9PM / EPS 1-2 of 8 / COOKERY
A prons are on, pans are sizzling and 10 famous faces are starting to feel the heat as they get ready to compete in Best Home Cook’s brand-new spin-off. Hosted again by Claudia Winkleman, the third, eight-part outing of the BBC1 contest has the added ingredient of celebrities (see below), and they are all hoping their culinary skills will impress the judges – Michelin starred chef Angela Hartnett, produce expert Chris Bavin and queen of cakes Dame Mary Berry.
There will be two episodes airing each week, and, like previous series, each one consists of three challenges: Mary’s Ultimate round to showcase their tried-and-tested dishes for special occasions; Chris’ Rustle Up task to make a star ingredient shine; and, finally, Angela’s Eliminator task to decide who goes home.
Here, Dame Mary, 85, and Claudia, 49, tell us more…
As well as a revamped kitchen, what other differences will viewers notice this series?
