With a first-rate cast and a compelling storyline, it was perhaps no surprise that forensics crime drama Traces scored record ratings for Alibi when it debuted in 2019 – and the series proved just as popular when it was later screened on BBC1.
When lab technician Emma (Molly Windsor) returned to Scotland to take up a new position as an assistant at SIFA (Scottish Institute of Forensic Science and Anatomy), she formed a close connection with builder Daniel (Martin Compston) – but circumstances were far from ideal.
