Ben Batt plays a mysterious newcomer who’s set to stir things up in Jamestown
When hunchbacked, pockmarked newcomer Willmus Crabtree first appeared on the Jamestown quay last week, Governor Yeardley (Jason Flemyng) remarked, ‘Was ever a human so contrary to nature?’
Yet there is more to Willmus than meets the eye, as Jocelyn (Naomi Battrick) is the first to discover in this week’s episode of the Sky One period drama.
‘Willmus has scarring on his face and a hunch on his back, but he’s a smartly dressed fellow,’ explains Shameless actor Ben Batt, who plays him. ‘He’s here to sell exotic goods, and is unlike any character in Jamestown.’
