Since they were published in the early 1950s, Isaac Asimov’s Foundation sci-fi novels have influenced the creators and writers of space classics such as Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Now, for the first time, the famous saga has been adapted for a big-budget series starring Chernobyl and The Crown actor Jared Harris.
Set in a galactic empire ruled by clones, the 10-part series features Harris as scientific guru Hari Seldon, who has used his new predictive science of ‘psychohistory’ to foresee the fall of the empire in many centuries’ time.
