It’s the second episode of Doctor Who’s exciting two-part opening adventure this week, with the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and her companions – Yaz, Ryan, and Graham – continuing their battle to save the planet after intelligence agents around the world come under attack from aliens.
We met up with Tosin Cole, 27, who plays Ryan, to quiz him about the latest action-packed series…
What’s coming up for Ryan and the gang this time around?
I think we’ll see everyone become wiser and more confident and accepting that they’re on a journey with the Doctor. But questions start to come up and they want answers. You’re going to see a lot of clashing of heads. People won’t be seeing eye to eye, so there’s lots of conflict. This year is about growth for Ryan.
It’s your second series as Ryan. Does it feel easier now all the media hype has died down?
