Help

C4 HD

Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer teams up with Stephen Graham for this one-off drama set in a Liverpool care home, where a bond develops between carer Sarah and her patient Tony, who is living with early-onset Alzheimer’s. As Tony’s condition gets worse, there’s suddenly a new danger to deal with when the COVID pandemic strikes UK care homes. Jack Thorne wrote the script especially for the two actors, who are good friends off screen. ‘I’ve wanted to work with Jodie for ages,’ says Graham. ‘Together we’re hugely passionate about shining a light on one of the biggest tragedies of our time and the people at the heart of it.’

Teacher

Channel 5 HD

Sheridan Smith plays schoolteacher Jenna, whose life unravels after being accused of a drunken sexual encounter with one of her pupils, even though she has no memory of the night in question. This four-part psychological thriller follows Jenna as she’s forced to seek redemption by uncovering the truth about a dark episode from her past. ‘When we first developed Teacher, we had Sheridan in mind as someone who could bring empathy and complexity to the character of Jenna,’ says co-creator Mike Benson.
