Last year, Grayson Perry set off on a specially customised motorbike on a journey around the United States. His aim was to gain a greater understanding of the divisions of race, class, identity and economic opportunity that exist within the country, and use what he learnt to create art.
That trip forms the basis of this new three-part series, the first episode of which sees Perry heading for Atlanta, Georgia often referred to as the black capital of the US – to get a sense of race relations in contemporary America.
