EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW
NEW DRAMA
Bridgerton
From Friday 25 March, Netflix
When the first season of Bridgerton debuted at Christmas 2020, the racy period drama captivated audiences around the world, becoming Netflix’s biggest-ever drama series, with 82 million viewers tuning in during its first month on screen.
It may have lost that record to recent Korean drama Squid Game, but with the second season of Bridgerton coming to our screens next month, we can’t wait to return to Regency London and a world of beautiful ball gowns, sibling rivalry and scurrilous gossip.
Based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling series of novels, the first season focused on the courtship of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Now, with each of Quinn’s novels focusing on a different Bridgerton sibling, the new 10-part season sees Daphne’s eldest brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) take centre stage.
Will the handsome bachelor find a suitable match? Here, we take a peek at what’s coming up…
