How do you deal with writers’ block/the urge to procrastinate?
I use the Pomodoro method, setting a kitchen timer to 20 minutes, and just forcing myself to write without stopping, until the bell dings. That usually gets me over the bump.
What’s the best piece of writing advice that you’ve either received or read?
Always stop the day’s work in the middle of a chapter, at an exciting bit. It’s so much easier to pick up from there, the next day, rather than starting a new chapter from scratch.
