In light of the success of an eight picture deal entered into in June of 2014, Canadian scaremongers Black Fawn Films have signed on the dotted line once again with the Breakthrough Entertainment banner to extend their partnership in a very big way.

Up first, audiences can expect the Chad Archibald-directed shocker The Heretics, which recently debuted at the Canadian Film Festival, but as Black Fawn are certainly not ones for sitting back and taking a breather, they are already hard at work on a follow-up, I’ll Take Your Dead, which will mark the beginning of an ambitious new chapter for Black Fawn and Breakthrough.

Commenting on this elevated production plan, which promises commitment to bigger budgets and a more aggressive casting strategy, Nat Abraham, President of Distribution and Partner at Breakthrough, said, “Chad [Archibald] and Cody [Calahan] have managed to stand out in a very competitive market. We believe that they will continue to see exponential growth in their audiences and that the quality of their stories will be attractive to notable cast. With these next two pictures, Breakthrough will further propel Black Fawn’s impact with fans, and open up additional international distribution options.”

Up first, though, is the aforementioned The Heretics which finds a young girl abducted and held hostage in an old cabin by a shady captor who claims his motives are for her own good as a cult is dead set on discovering her whereabouts before the locust moon rises. With the film all set to shock the international festival circuit, SCREAM sat down with helmer Chad Archibald and stars Nina Kiri, Jorja Cadence and Ry Barrett to discuss the dark and deeply disturbing creed of the demon worshipping cult of Abaddon...
