Actor Idris Elba is People’s reigning Sexiest Man Alive (he was bestowed the title last November), but that’s no excuse to just lie around looking, well, sexy. In fact the British star, 46, has never been busier. While trying to plan his wedding to fiancée Sabrina Dhowre, he’s traveling the country promoting Turn Up Charlie, the new Netflix series that he created and stars in—loosely based on his real side gig as a deejay. He also directed his first feature film, Yardie (in U.S. theaters on March 15), hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time on March 9 and filmed an upcoming movie version of Cats with Taylor Swift. Then there’s the time he spends (humbly) fielding congrats on becoming Sexiest Man Alive. “The most common reaction I got was ‘It was about time!’ ” he says. “I am like, ‘Really?’ That’s lovely, but really?’ ”
