The beautiful Ananya Panday talks about her distressing experience with the social media and her reasons to start this initiative called So Positive curbing cyber bullying. She urges the youngsters to be more positive and responsible and less hateful. Excerpts from a heart-to-heart…
What was your reason behind starting this initiative, So Positive?
I was constantly seeing so much hate, not just with me but everyone around me. People were getting such negative comments, and so much unnecessary hatred. It’s cyber bullying which everyone sees happening but no one says anything about it. I realised a while ago that I wanted to do something about it but didn’t exactly know what I could do. I spoke to my parents and people around me and I realised that once you’re an actor, you have a voice and you should use it responsibly. People take your word seriously. I thought even if it’s just starting a conversation on this topic to create awareness, I must start doing something.
Did you face any social media bullying?
