Designer Farah Khan Ali, who recently completed 25 years in the industry, believes that jewellery is more than just pretty accessories. Rushmika Banerjee does a closer inspection.
Farah Khan Ali hails from a family of spirited women, whose strong design sensibilities are renowned internationally. Her sisters, Sussanne Khan and Simone Arora, dabble in space and interior design, while Farah has made a mark with her nature-inspired jewellery, which she says is designed for ‘the real woman’. Khan Ali founded her eponymous label in 2004 and is a favourite with B-town celebs like Dia Mirza, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone and Malaika Arora. Excerpts from an interview where the designer talks about her 25-year-long career, which she has always been passionate about, and her inspirations.
