The ego is a wonderful thing. It simplifies the procedure that confirms an individuals assessment of his self-worth in terms of being the only superlative person on this planet.
This automatically clears the way to a style of living and management that clearly leaves no doubt in the person’s self-esteem that he is by far the best bet in any situation and what he does not know or cannot do is not worth the trouble even talking about. Deep down they are terrified of their own knowledge of themselves, as they fully know how vulnerable they really are.
